Firstly, let me introduce myself. I am Mark Willis and I’m proud to be from Manchester in the United Kingdom. I graduated from the University of Salford with a 2:1 degree in Journalism in 2014. Since then, I’ve gained valuable experience as a: journalist, publicist, photographer and content creator.
For as long as I can remember, I have had an affinity for the entertainment industry. I’ve always been eager to learn the process behind the creation of my favourite music and TV shows. It’s this desire for knowledge that led me to become a background actor on BBC programmes such as Waterloo Road and Clay while I was in secondary school. At 14 years old, I also ran my own Doctor Who news website which I updated daily for three years.
Later in life, as a graduate, I have enjoyed working as a journalist for a number of different companies. I have more than 400 published articles to my name and was a live radio presenter on Gaydio for almost six years. I have also enjoyed delving into the worlds of photography and content creation.
Nothing pleases me more than assisting people to achieve their goals. My love for helping others is one of the reasons why I launched Eminence PR in 2017. I have been X Factor winner Ben Haenow’s publicist for more than 7 years now. As well as securing over 200 press features, I have aided him in various areas of his career. Working together on Ben’s stunning charity single ‘If You’re Lonely’ was particularly rewarding and one of my highlights to date.
When I’m not working, I enjoy travelling to new locations and spending valuable time with loved ones. I can also often be found attending concerts, conventions and theatre shows. I love networking with people from all walks of life and truly believe that diversity is what makes the world so beautiful.
